The Penis Monologues
Many people have responded positively, both men and women, to my posts about the penises chronicles and rate your penis. Last time the post was up (no pun intended here), my life was interrupted by some sad news in the family, the death of my father. I think some people were being respectful, and did not finish their comments on this rather provocative and interesting topic of interest to both men and women.
The penis fascinates me. Probably not for the reasons that most of you think, but primarily because men conclude that it is such an important part of their body from their own perspective and for women as well. Personally, I think it is over-rated, and would describe it more as an appendage, with a clinical conclusion that it is more of a body part, necessary to facilitate reproduction and pleasure. Needless to say, it can, and has been a great source of pleasure to women, and men, but also a source of much pain, as some pointed out in my last post regarding how the penis has been used to wield power and control over women. Some men tend to define themselves and in terms of their penis, and it is rare that you will hear any man say that he has an average penis. (whatever that means) Most will brag endlessly about how great their penis is, and many assume, quite erroneously that to women, size is the most important issue. It may also be seen how many younger men think that women love hearing dirty jokes and talking endlessly about sex all the time. Actually, to me, the largest and most provocative sexual organ is the human brain.
Here are the questions for the day: For women, is penis size important to you? If so, why? Is bigger better, or can it be the source of discomfort and pain as well? If you could write the a monologue about the penis, what would you write about? How would you describe your ideal penis, and do you think that men are overly preoccupied with it as a sexual organ?
For men: How would you rate your penis? Is it something that you think women think about all of the time? Do you think women enjoy jokes about sex, and if so, why? Do you believe that penis size is important and that it is a definition of manliness to you? What about to women? How would you write the penis monologues?
Please feel free to post anonymously, as I know this is a rather provocative and personal issue.
Thank you for your minds.

you have got to be kidding?
Yochanan,
You must have been MIA. This is my third penis post. Many men find it quite interesting.
Maybe a bit of imagination on your part might allow some comment.
If you desire, you could make a comment about Saadam or Bush's private parts, if the mood allows.
Kiddings is something I do not do well.
I have more respect for the office of the President to stuppe that low. Now if i was to mention michael moore I might think of a smuck or two.
Saddam should rot in hell with Pol Pot, Stalin & Hitler
HAHAHAHA. You're so funny and weird when it comes to talking about the penis Barbara...:-) I write this with a smile on my face. I don't really care about size. I mean if I really care about someone I'm not like "Oh my gosh, I hope he has a large penis" Haha. That seems unbelievably vain and childish when people think that way. And I don't really think that people (guys and girls)really make that big of a deal out of it.
Speaking of penises and politics, who was the genius in the Bush family who decided to name that kid Pierce Bush? PIERCE BUSH. There's a porn name if I ever heard one. Yes, I know Pierce is Babs' family's name, but did no one realize that "pierce bush" is basically Ron Jeremy's job description?
*shakes head at yet another instance of Bush family dimwittedness*
ROTFL...Kris, I can see that your new found state of pregnancy (I am so delighted) has not in any way interfered with your witty and quick sense of humor!
Be well.
yochanan,
You are free to post on under this topic, but you must stick to pensises please. If you can to relate that topic to those organs of Saadam or Bush, please be my guest. Otherwise, I respectfully ask that you stay focused, please.
My penis IS average. It's the ones that are longer than 12" that fascinate me.

Yochanan, isn't there someone else you can go bother? I mean you used to leave some really great posts. And anyone who can hear one negative comment a few weeks ago and carry that with them all this time and now leaves negative posts on that website themselves, needs to do some serious maturing and to do a soul search. It's just mean.
Knowing how to use the penis is important. The size of the boat may be small, but it's the motion of the ocean that's important. That said, size matters, to me anyways. Not to big, not to small. Just right and that's what I found.
As for why men think it's so fab: men are in power, therefore, they make their bodies the most important entity on the planet. Think medical research: the majority of it is done on white men.
The reason men have said attitude is its been reinforced over the centuries. Think double standards. Think lack of repercussions for rape. After all, isn't every sperm sacred? Doesn't every sperm have the right to grow into a Mini Me? (/sarcasm)
They are filthy appendages that should ONLY be used by married men in heterosexual marriages for the purpose of creating children... doors should be locked, lights should be out, and the missionary position should be used. Anything more than 10 minutes-worth is loitering.
Oh, and I suppose it is okay to urinate with them.
Otherwise, cover them up and keep them away!
Little bar of soap is such a joy!
I am sure that many will share and appreciate your input. (no puns intended.)
Now, I am ready for a mouth cleaning.
This is your fourth post on this topic, and it's bordering on the inappropriate. The first time you posted about penises it was funny. The second time you did it, it was mildly amusing. The third time was a total bore. Now this? It's ridiculous.
When you started this blog, you stated that it would be a place where people could talk about politics, issues of the day, and other relevant, intelligent topics in a save place.
It's basically turned into a blog for Jews, an insult to Christianity (was Jesus gay?--give me a break--you are so disrespectful to readers who are Christian!), and now this constant dribble about penises.
And let's not forget how you have insulted the Catholic Church. Mind you, I don't agree with its tenets, but I have friends and family members who are Catholic, and what you write hurts. You would not for one minute stand for these type of insults against Jews, and who could blame you. Try to keep that in mind before you write these insults again, would you?
This blog doesn't feel like the save, open place you said it would be, Barbara, and I for one am disgusted.
To anonymous,
I am very sorry you feel the way you do, and appreciate your comments. From what you post, you seem to be a long time reader, who has stopped posting, but not stopped reading. (I thought it was the third penis post, but you have been counting, and thank you for correcting me.)
One of the great freedoms in this country is the ability to say what we feel. The blog allows us to express ourselves, no matter how we think others may feel. For example, I do not post or usually read blogs where the subject matter is not of interest to me. Period. This is my right, as it is yours to stay away from my blog and not post when you desire. For your information, the last penis post, which was greeted with great popularity was made on the same day of my father's death, and many felt, out of respect, that it was best to ignore it, but some asked me to repost it again as it was an interesting topic of conversation.
My views are my own, and yes, I am a proud Jew. If that offends you, that is too bad. And I mean no offense towards Christians nor Catholics, as I have said, not all are fundamentalists, who I do have a problem with, nor hypocraties, who I also have a problem with.
I suggest you stop reading my blog, since it is upsetting to you, and maybe put your efforts someplace else where you will feel more comfortable.
All best wishes,
BFC
anonymous,
A couple of other points to set the record straight.
If you look at the history of my blog, as I think you have been doing, you can see that many posts deal with politics, expressions of feelings, and grief. In fact two of the three today are quite non-descriptive. For some reason, you have choosen to focus on a few of my posts that you find offensive, which makes me wonder if you have been perceiving my blog as something according to what you want to see rather than how it really is. (I do have a post on this very issue today.)
I think I know who you are, and I am very sorry that you feel this way, but suggest that before giant leaps of conclusions be made, you look at the history of all my posts, and not just focus on the ones that are distasteful to you.
All best wishes,
BFC
anonymous - we like bfc's blog which is obviously a personal journal about her and what is important. If she were to follow your advice the blog would become more about you than about her. don't you have your own blog for your own stuff? I mean, give us a break. you obviously have some history with bfc and honestly i think she has been much nicer to you than i would have been.
you are a coward. you could at least reveal yourself and let her know who you are as you do seem to be a long time reader if not thought of friend of hers.
shame on you.
anonymous,
Thank you for sticking up for me in such a kind way. I stand by my words and posts.
This person may have a history on my blog, but I doubt she is a friend. Being familar with relationships in cyberspace from a fragrance site I used to frequent, I know that what may appear to be friendship is in fact not necessarly so. People can give the warm fuzzys, and the cyber hugs, but those who are truly there for you are few and far between. Those who write and ask how you are doing, even when you are not doing anything for them are rare. That being said, I have developed a handful of true freinds from this blog, those to whom I am very grateful.
Words are important. But words coupled with kind acts, not just gifts, are worth every bit of love in the world.
Be well and thank you.
please don't say you have free and frank discourse when you disagree you more offen than not censor points of view.
Barbara,
You sure do love the penis!
I personally don't miss 'em.
XO
Hey Barbara,
Just found your blog and love it. I'll be back for more but want to get my 2 cents in about THE PENIS.
I think most men are worried that their penis is not good enough. Some, on the other hand, think their penis is the greatest one God every stuck on a man.
I ADORE PENISES and MEN. I love sex. Lovemaking and sex are two different things...for my personal pleasure sexually I like a large penis. To give oral pleasure to a man it's obviously easier if the penis is small or average.
For love making, I would take a man that didn't even have a penis because there are so many other ways to show love, in bed and out.
Anonymous, it`s a pity that you find Barbaras blog offensive, but, I confess, I cannot see why.
My mother, who was Catholic, regularly expressed similar thoughts about issues in her religion as Barbara has posted in her blog.
Most of the Catholics I know have grave reservations about the Vaticans approach to various subjects, so what`s new?!
Perhaps you would think that they are anti-Catholic too?
Would you prefer to ban people discussing issues which you don`t like being aired?....Sad.
I have always found Barbaras blog to be even-handed, I like the fact I can post my thoughts, which will perhaps even sometimes differ from Barbaras, without causing offense.
It`s about free and fair discussion.
Stop feeling so paranoid and enjoy life.
Barbara...penis posts are good, nothing wrong here!!
Always find it interesting that half of the spam emails I get in are about penis enlargement!
I don`t think size matters...it`s
the skill in using it which is the Artform!
Talking of Art, most of the Classic images of men, the male form having been seen as the ultimate expression of beauty, have small penises.
There is no doubt that this is an important subject with men, probably moreso than for women. I think women expect to see different shapes and sizes...makes life interesting..and most would probably be frightened off by one thaty was too big...!!!
zeppelinna,
Your comments are always so elegant and tasteful. Knowing that you are a beautiful sensualist, I appreciate your insight into describing the penis as an art form. In point of fact, it may absolutely be thought of as such.
How many works of early French and Italian Art, (just look at David) display a man naked, with his penis as a work of art, not a sexual organ!
The point you make about the spam mail is a very good one as well.
I am so happy you found my blog, and thank you for your wisdom and kind words, as always.
As I stated from day one, we can all agree to disagree. Some people, it seems find being disagreeable more important.
Be well, my friend.
Aral,
I am not sure I love the penis itself as much as I love talking about it and seeing how others react. As you can see, there is a mixed one.
My blog does say that it is for provocative thought and discussion.
Be well.
I think the Little Bar of Soap is a parody, and like Ask the Pope.
Visit her website! I am becomming a great fan of her intelligent and witty humor.
Doug,
Excellent article! You are so resourceful.
I love the way that the penis is referred to as a pre-historic 'tool.' Gives an entirely new meaning to this appendeage, does it not?
Thanks alot!
