Simon Wiesenthal 1908-2005

Today maked the passing of a truly extraordinary man, who lived to the long age of 96, and was known as the 'consciousness of the Holocaust.' Born into a well-off Jewish family in 1908, Mr. Weisenthal survived the horrors of the Holocaust, was a witness to the murder of many family members and friends, and saw the de-humanization of Jews under Nazi power. Mr. Wiesenthal was a survivor of the rarest breed, dedicating his life and legacy to those Jews who were exterminated, and was responsible for locating Eichmann in Argentina and bringing him to trial in Israel.
