greetings from tel aviv
edited
we are here in tel aviv. i love israel, and what you read about it in the paper is completely different from what is actually going on, at least here in tel aviv. it is a comfortable city, and people are going on with their daily lives. it is sad to see that tourism is down, but life is lively, and bustles with the people here. i truly feel as if we are home. Most everyone here, all israelis, are very happy that we came to israel at this time and are greeting us with open arms.
this keyboard is a bit strange, so excuse some of the grammer and lack of capitalization...i am a bit scared that the lettters will revert to hebrew.
we are going to have shabbath dinner in about 2 hour 15 minutes with some other people in our group.
this trip is definitely a dream come true...
thank you for your minds.

Congratulations on thinking for yourself, Barbara. Most of the mass mind is fear-based.
Have been thinking of you, Barbara. So glad you are having the time of your life. Be safe and enjoy!
tel aviv looks like any major city in the usa so lovely
Please keep posting. I want to live your trip through you!
So glad you made it safe and sound... and that reports of Israel's demise are greatly exagerated.
Mike

How nice it is to hear from you, Barbara. I have been thinking of you and hoping you are well. Apparently you are. Can't wait to hear more about your trip.
Great to hear from you, Barbara; your view of Tel Aviv was good to read.
Thank you all for your comments.
Tel Aviv is a magical city...I love it hear. Today we went to the Israel Modern Museum of Art, which has quite a suburb collection, including a Chagall called, Horsewoman, which is even more vibrant to see in person.
Thankfully, all is safe here in Tel Aviv for now. Yesterday, we went to a crowded market, a craft fair, and I was a bit hesitant, but once I saw how everyone was trying to go on with live as best as possible, living life as normally as one could became contagious. Being here, among the people and seeing them life as they do, is so different from watching the fear, apprehension, and terror that one sees on CNN and Fox. I am suer that in the northern part, life is different, but here, thank God, all is good.
Looking forward to our day tomorrow, and each moment here. It seems I have found a new love here in Israel, the country itself, is magical.
My friends say many Northern Israelis moved to southern cities because of the war. Isn't it a little bit strange why people here in Tel Aviv has nothing to do with this war?
Glad to hear all it well *S* Safe travels!!!
Wow! You did it! Yer now over there.
well, y'won't have t'watch out fer any alligators.
However, don't ferget to be on the look out,
just in case yer stalked by the master dater.
Speaking of which, are ya gonna go pictorial at all?
Y'know, pictures are not restricted by language barriers.
Of course, y'de hear that from one who's an artist
and not so much one of those book/word carriers.
Glad you made it safely, Barbara. Hopefully, the hostility has stopped as of now with the U.N. ceasefire agreed upon by all parties.
Im so HAPPY for you!!!!!
May God be with you all!
Hi Barbara,
I am jealous. I miss Israel. Enjoy!!!
Stay Safe, have fun, enjoy your time there! *hugs* P.S. Take pics!
I know I haven't posted here for a long while...life's been nuts. But I want to just say how impressed I am - you saw soemthing that was important, and you did it! Not many people actually follow through like that...but then again, considering your constant quest for truth...I'm not surprised.
I hope you have a wonderful, inspiring time.
We are leaving Tel Aviv now..I love Israel, and feel as if we have come home...
Off to Jerusalem...
I'm so glad to hear that you're having a fun trip so far!
There's so much to see here- enjoy yourself!
Have a wonderful time Barbara!
XOXO
Is Hebrew a difficult language?
I like your new profile picture. It suits your legal profession.
