Words, Beliefs and Thoughts Into Action

A pro-active and positive spin on the two posts, and wonderful comments below. A note of much thanks and appreciation for all of the information below. What awesome minds you have indeed! Let me thank you for your kind wishes for my son, who should be arriving in Tel Aviv tomorrow morning. (Pacific Time.) Tomorrow, I will move on to a new subject, but for tonight, the question begs an answer as I can see from your provocative and intelligent comments. Furthermore, I want to be fair to all.

How, if at all, do you see the Bush administration, and politicans at both the national and local levels practicing principles of pragmatism, tolerance , love and acceptance and applying them to all of their affairs and political agendas? Where and how do you think this affects Americans today? Do you think this is an administration who judges and condemns others through harsh, strong and often ironhanded hell and brimstone methods? (thanks godless mom...love this word.)

Tomorrow, I will move on to another subject.

Thank you for your minds.

The current republican party is about as tolerant as...uhhh...fire ants after you kick their pile. In other words, not at all.

The party has been taken over by evangelicals, whose view of the world is one of right and wrong - with them being right. There is no "maybe" in the bible, therefore there is no maybe in the world.

This is why they are not tolerant of other views. They are the godly party, therefore they are always right.

I predict that the voters will get sick and tired of all this stuff, and vote the republican party out of power - but I do not see this happenong in 2006.

how can ANY political administration treat this world with love, acceptance ...etc.. etc.. i don't think its possible.

Not possible for many reasons- human nature- because that's how we are, we are very capable of not liking others for absolutely no apparent reason--

economy- money just seems to bring out jelousy in people (countries)

tolerance and acceptance- in order for a country to be able to give that... it needs to receive it also... if only one party has these qualities it will be wiped off the face of the world by the other--- once again human nature--

and i can go on-- it is just not possible to to have an "administration" to exhibit all these good qualities not in this world- only possible in paradise- with angels instead of humans. and non of us is angelic thats for sure--

He he he! Fire-ants after you kick their pile! That's great!

There is very little sanity in the country right now, let alone pragmatism, tolerance, love and acceptance.

I think that as long as Bush is in office this will continue. I find it supremely ironic that he claimed to be a "Uniter not a divider." Most people on both sides of the fence are angry beyond reason and as long as that is the environment in our country it will be reflected in the government (or vice versa.)

Jen's observations about the attitude toward our country in other parts of the world has me very concerned. Even if we manage to get our country all on the same page again it will be decades before the world will even consider trusting us.

I hold out no hope for pragmatism, tolerance, love and acceptance in the near future. I'm just hoping we can get through the next few years without tearing each other to shreds.

We will see how tolerent canada is when quebec wants to be independant

Easy for them to talk about America but if we do something for our benifit that they don;t like they scream like banshies just mention border controls.

Jen: I too am concerned with the attitude of other countrires, and how they view America today. When my son went to study abroad two years ago in Australia, he indicated that there was much disgust with the way the Australians perceived America and how it was headed.

Frankly, I too agree that tolerance is not something that this administration has been known to have. Remember during the debates, and even recently, I heard Tim Russett mention that Democrats were not even allowed to participate in the morning meetings with state senators. There was a silent code of you stay on your side and we will stay on ours. Godless mom: you are right, Bush has sadly become a great divider in this country and to me is is very sad. We are divided along so many lines. How can a president not choose any Democrat to be a member of his Cabinet? I mean it was Clinton who chose Janet Reno, a Republican, who ultimately did him more damage in the political areana.

This type of grandstanding in my humble opinion, sets poor examples for our children. We spend so much time telling them that being a bully is not acceptable, but it is alright to lead our country with a bully mentality. Common sense, decency and tolerance are much needed in our country today.

Speaking of intollerent christians.

Please note that it is liberal churchs such as the Presbaterian and Anglican church that are organizing anti-semitic boycots of jews today in the name of ANTI-ZIONISM. The more secular and or humanist the church the more likely it is active in this movement of todays form of the traditional jew boycot. Just now they call it ANTI-ZIONIST.

Another boycot being organized is by the socialist controled university teachers union in England of Israel's University system.

BOYCOT YUDEN = THE DIVESTURE MOVEMENT AGAINST ISRAEL

a small victory but you can be sure they will try it again.

There is an active boycot of Israeli products in Sweden.

If you want to see intollerance try being a conserative artist in univeristy. When I told my graduate theis advisor that my son enlisted in the National Guard you could have heard a pin drop. And when I told her I was proud of him for doing it.
The left on campus is calling President Bush a NAZI besides being completly wrong historally it also shows the intalerance on the left as well.
